Attractions in downtown Owen Sound include the harbour-front walkway, Harrison Park, the various museums and galleries listed below, the Mill Dam fish ladder, the Roxy Theatre, the Georgian Bay Symphony and a vibrant shopping area with unique shops and restaurants.

Owen Sound is the gateway to the Bruce peninsula. A short drive takes you to the Bruce Trail on the Niagara Escarpment, the many area golf courses the Grey-Owen Sound Museum, Inglis Falls, Indian Falls and Jones Falls.
